Don't expect LEGO Architecture's list of retiring LEGO sets to change too much over the next few years, as the theme has moved to a much smaller annual release schedule.

Following the end of 2025, 21042 Statue of Liberty and 21058 Great Pyramid of Giza are due to retire in July 2026, with 21060 Himeji Castle following in December.

In a similar way to NINJAGO, LEGO Super Mario's array of retiring sets is split into two waves most years – one in July and one in December.

Coming up in July 2026 are the retirement dates for 14 sets, including 72042 Prince Florian & Castle Bowser, based on one of the most recent Mario games.

Retiring LEGO Wicked sets

LEGO Wicked is one of the latest entries into the LEGO portfolio and debuted four new sets based on the stage show's silver-screen adaptation in October 2024. Its collection of mini-doll-based builds is all inspired by the movie, including the first mini-doll of Ariana Grande as Glinda. Minifigure sets have since been introduced as well.

Three of the eight current LEGO Wicked models are scheduled to retire by the end of 2026, including 75685 Emerald City Wall Art with six exclusive minifigures.

LEGO Wednesday recreates the events of the Netflix series through various kinds of models, from Botanicals-adjacent sets to mini-doll buildings.

Later this year, the full theme looks due to retire, but 76785 Thing's Apartment is scheduled to leave shelves first.

LEGO One Piece sails onto the scene this summer, recreating moments from the Netflix adaptation of the massive manga and anime series with some LEGO Pirates-adjacent builds that every enthusiast can enjoy.

The new sets are due to retire in 2026, but 75638 Battle at Arlong Park is leaving shelves six months before the rest, retiring in July 2026 at the time of writing.

LEGO Disney's retiring set selection has had a few changes in recent years, and with more models being added to the selection for 2026, there's a lot to keep an eye on.

This year, we'd advise keeping an eye on 43263 Beauty and the Beast Castle before it retires later this year, as the ultimate LEGO Beauty and the Beast experience.

For LEGO Jurassic World, the sets retiring in 2026 are mostly focused on Rebirth models following the end of the Chaos Theory sets and series last year.

The massive 76973 Raptor & Titanosaurus Tracking Mission is one of the next LEGO Jurassic World sets up for retirement, with some interesting builds and dinosaur figures to collect.

At the end of 2027, every LEGO Monkie Kid set is scheduled to retire – but that's not something to worry about right now unless you must have some of the models immediately.

LEGO City has one of the longest lists of retiring LEGO sets, and while most of the models in it are suitably generic and befitting of the theme, there are quite a few retiring at the end of 2026 to keep an eye on.

There's a lot to be aware of, especially in 2026. This includes the LEGO-inspired 60440 Yellow Delivery Truck in July.

Similar to LEGO City, many of LEGO Friends' retiring sets are exciting, especially to dedicated enthusiasts. The theme's models don't rely on mini-dolls and are just as compatible with minifigures.

A new year has brought a whole host of new LEGO Friends sets, but for now, there are many builds retiring at the end of 2026, including the busy, but cosy 42670 Heartlake City Apartments and Stores.

This range of familiar caricatures has many entries, and that means that plenty are retiring soon. Given the wide number of properties covered in this theme and their affordable prices, LEGO BrickHeadz make great gifts for all kinds of fans.

At the end of 2026, the caricatures retiring include 40879 Eleven, Max, Demogorgon and Holly Figures to cap off the ending of Stranger Things. There's also the new 40924 Megatron Robot & Vehicle leaving shelves fast after its release.

LEGO Seasonal sets are diversely based on various holidays and events, from Christmas to Valentine's Day and starting in 2025, it now encompasses LEGO Looney Tunes.

In 2026, the seasonal sets retiring include the colourful and displayable 80119 Galloping Horses Canvas, as well as 40824 Sweetheart Tweety Bird for Looney Tunes fans.

A select few LEGO sets don't wholly fit into any one theme, so they have a special section to help you track when they retire. This section currently only consists of LEGO sets exclusively available from the LEGO Group directly, whether shopping online or in-store.

It's not a huge list, and it's unlikely to grow too much in the future. For 2026, the newly-revealed 40955 Maersk Dual-Fuel Container Vessel should be a higher priority.
